Biathlon
Hello biathletes and coaches
The biathlon club will start its first practice on Oct 19 at 10 am at the Walden ski trails. After that l will be looking for commitments from the coaches to come up with a schedule for practices and race commitments.
For your long range planning the Ontario race dates have been set and are as fallows
1-Jan 17 & 18 Blue ridge (Collingwood) 22 and air rifle
2-Jan 25 Highlands Nordic air rifle only
3-Jan 31 & Feb 1 Ottawa 22 and air rifle
Ontario championships Feb 7 & 8 SSM 22 and air
4-Feb 14 & 15 Walden air rifle only
5 Feb 21 & 22 Blind River air rifle only
Canadian championships Val Cartier Quebec 22 only (must qualify)
-Biathlon Club fees are $20 and are above and beyond the Walden trail fees or membership
-Ontario biathlon membership this year has gone up to $65 for up to Jr boy/girl and $130 for Sr boy/girl and older (15 and up)
-In all cases, race fees and registrations are extra. Car-pooling and accommodations may be required for attending out of town events.
